Premier League: Awoniyi Set To Play With Protective Gear

Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo has confirmed that Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi has recovered from injury and is fit to play, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Awoniyi sustained the injury during an FA Cup match against Exeter FC and has spent some time in recovery.

However, he is now ready to feature in Forest’s Premier League clash against Newcastle United on Sunday, though he will have to wear a protective face mask.

 “Yes, it’s clear under the concussion protocol,” Espírito Santo stated.

“So, Awoniyi is available but will have to wear a mask for the game.”
