Premier League: Bassey Fires Fulham Past Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest was brought back down to earth on Saturday at Craven Cottage, as they fell 2-1 to hosts Fulham, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Forest had been in high spirits after last weekend’s stunning 7-0 demolition of Brighton & Hove Albion at the City Ground.

However, it was Fulham who struck first, with Emile Smith Rowe opening the scoring in the 28th minute.

Forest responded ten minutes later through Chris Wood, who levelled the game.

The decisive moment came in the 67th minute when Nigeria's Super Eagles defender, Calvin Bassey, stepped up as the hero, firing home the winner to secure all three points for Fulham.
