Premier League: Iwobi Scores In Fulham Defeat To Chelsea

Alex Iwobi found the back of the net for the ninth time this Premier League season, but his goal wasn’t enough to prevent Fulham from falling 2-1 to Chelsea at Craven Cottage on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Iwobi’s Nigerian compatriot, Calvin Bassey, also featured for Fulham, completing the full 90 minutes. Iwobi gave the hosts an early lead in the 20th minute, marking his 33rd Premier League appearance of the campaign.

However, Chelsea fought back late, with substitute Tyrique drawing them level in the 83rd minute before Pedro Neto secured the win deep into stoppage time.

The victory lifted Chelsea to fifth place with 57 points, while Fulham sit ninthwithn 48 points.
