Napoli have recalled Nigerian international and Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen for medical examinations ahead of their 2025/26 pre-season preparations, in a move that has stirred fresh speculation over his future.

Osimhen is set to undergo medical assessments at the club between July 14 and 15, following a sensational loan spell at Galatasaray, where he scored 37 goals and contributed 8 assists, playing a pivotal role in helping the Turkish giants secure both the Süper Lig title and the Turkish Cup.

The 25-year-old was loaned out last season after a high-profile falling out with Napoli, amid a tense transfer saga and reports of strained relations with then-manager Antonio Conte. Despite being heavily linked with clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Juventus, and Al Hilal, a permanent move failed to materialize.

Osimhen’s stellar performance in Turkey has reignited interest from Europe’s top clubs, but no concrete offers have yet emerged. Sources close to the player say his preference remains a move to the English Premier League, though potential suitors currently appear to have other priorities in the transfer market.

According to reports from Le Marca Sports, unless a deal is reached in the coming weeks, Osimhen is expected to participate in Napoli’s pre-season activities, including friendly fixtures.
