Preseason: Tornadoes Hit Kano For Maiden Peace & Unity Cup

Niger Tornadoes left Minna Thursday for Kano State in participation in an invitational soccer tournament in the Pyramid City, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

According to the organizers, six teams are set to take part in the competition, the teams include host Kano Pillars, Niger Tornadoes, Katsina United, Gombe United, El-Kanemi Warriors, and Wikki Tourists FC.

The tournament is expected to last for a week with the finals slated for September 13, 2023, at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano. 

The tournament is coming on the heels of an indefinite postponement of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season earlier scheduled to commence this weekend.

The Ikon Allah Boys shall kick start their season in far away Abia State to engage Abia Warriors on a yet-to-be-decided date.
