President Cup: Deputy Governor Gifts Kebbi United ₦3M To Beat El-Kanemi Warriors

In a commendable show of support for sports, the Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Sen. Umar Abubakar, recently hosted Kebbi United FC at his residence in Birnin Kebbi, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The event was organized to celebrate the team's outstanding performance in the President Cup, where they reached the semi-finals and showcased both skill and determination on a national stage.

In his address to the team, acknowledged the dedication, hard work, and resilience of the players and the management, which has brought significant results and also promised to settle outstanding entitlement with immediate effect.

To further encourage the team and support their future endeavours, the Deputy Governor announced a generous reward of ₦3 million. This financial incentive is aimed at boosting the morale of the players and the management, motivating them to strive for even greater heights, including securing a coveted Continental ticket. 

The semi-final of the President Cup will take place in Abuja Between Kebbi United and El-Kanemi Warriors on Thursday 20 June at the FIFA Goal Project.

The event was attended by key figures in the state including SSG. Alh. Yakubu Bala Tafida, Head of Service Alh. Sifyanu Garba Bena, Commissioner of Youth and Sport Devt. Comrd. Nura Bala Fingilla, S. A to the Governor on Sport among others.
