President Federation Cup: Bethel Orji Hails Ishaku Heroics Against Kwara United

Bethel Orji of Abia Warriors has hailed the heroics of goalkeeper, Ali Ishaku for ensuring that his team defeated Kwara United in the 2024 President Federation Cup Round of 16, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Abia Warriors advanced into the quarter-finals of the competition following a pulsating penalty shootout win over Kwara United in Ikenne. 

The round of 16 tie had ended 1-1 after regulation time but the Pride of Abia had to rely on the lottery of penalty shootouts to overcome Kwara United 4-3. 

"That is a good performance. He was the man of the match. You can't take it away from him. It favours us on so many occasions. Let him keep it up.

"In football, you can't play the same way you played in the other games. The pitch always affects us, especially when the sun is too much. We are elated to come back after the second half to handle things the way they ought to be."

Abia Warriors will take on Sokoto United in the last eight after the latter dumped out Enyimba FC.
