Rivers Angels have emerged champions of the 2024 Women's President Federation Cup after beating Naija Ratels 1-0 in the final, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Jewels of Rivers won their the 9th title on Saturday when the team got the better of Naija Ratels of Abuja in the final match of the cup competition at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

Blessing Okpe’s strike from the penalty spot just minutes before the end of the first half after Naija Ratels defender handed the ball with her hand was enough for Rivers Angels to win the game.

With the result, Whyte Ogbonda has now won his first National Cup title as head coach, having guided unfancied Ibom Angels to runners-up position in 2017 and 2018.
