President Federation Cup: Victory Over Ikorodu City Delights Inter Lagos Tony Obia

Lethal goal poacher for Inter Lagos, Tony Obia said he is delighted with the victory over Ikorodu City in the 2024 President Federation Cup Round of 16, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The SKE FC of Port Harcourt product, who has registered 15 goals and 10 assists so far in all competitions this season said he has been dreaming about the victory for a long. 

Obia, who scored a sumptuous equaliser during the game said that the victory will motivate the team to do better in the upcoming NNL Super 8 playoffs in Enugu. 

"It was a great game. We fought hard for this game. We have dreamt about this victory for a very long time. We give glory to God for this victory. 

"It means a lot to us. All from the start of the season, we have been preparing and giving everything to go for the Super 8. We will do better at the Super 8. 

"I believe in my team. We are going to do better at the Super 8. We need more support from the fans."

Inter Lagos got the better of their city rivals 5-4 on penalties after it ended one apiece in regulation time to advance to the last eight and will face El-Kanemi Warriors.
