The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will conduct the draw ceremony for the national phase of the 2026 President Federation Cup on Friday at the NFF Secretariat in Abuja, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The draw follows the conclusion of the national playoff round, which saw four teams eliminated from the women’s competition and six teams knocked out in the men’s category.
A total of 32 teams will participate in the women’s national competition, while 64 teams will compete in the men’s tournament.
Defending champions Kwara United headline the contenders in the men’s category alongside notable clubs such as Shooting Stars, Enugu Rangers, Bendel Insurance, Nasarawa United, Ikorodu City, Rivers United, and Barau FC.
In the women’s competition, title holders Rivers Angels will be joined by leading sides including Nasarawa Amazons, FC Robo Queens, Ibom Angels, Bayelsa Queens, and Naija Ratels.
The President Federation Cup remains Nigeria’s premier domestic knockout football competition, bringing together clubs from across the country in both the men’s and women’s categories.
Among the qualified teams in the women’s competition are Ahudiyannem Queens and Abia Angels from Abia State, Bayelsa Queens from Bayelsa, Edo Queens from Edo State, FC Robo Queens from Lagos, and Rivers Angels from Rivers State.
In the men’s category, participating teams include former continental champions Enyimba FC, Rangers International, Bendel Insurance, Rivers United, Plateau United, Shooting Stars, Kwara United, and Ikorodu City, alongside several emerging grassroots and academy teams from across the federation.
The draw ceremony is expected to determine the fixtures and pathways for teams competing for this year’s national honours in both categories.
