President Federation Cup Round-up: Enyimba, 3SC, Akwa Utd Knocked Out, As 5 NNL Teams Zoom Into Quarter-Final

The 2024 President Federation Cup Round of 16 matches produced shocking results as five Nigeria National League teams zoomed into the quarter-finals after beating NPFL teams, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Enyimba FC, Akwa United and Shooting Stars Club of Ibadan were all beaten on the same day in the cup competition by the NNL teams. 

It was an identical scoreline of 1-0 as Sokoto United, El-Kanemi Warriors and Kebbi United all defeated Enyimba FC, 3SC and Akwa United respectively.

Abia Warriors got the better of Kwara United while Katsina United fell 7-8 on penalties to Kano Pillars. 

In the Lagos Derby, Inter Lagos defeated Ikorodu City 5-4 on penalties after it ended one apiece in regulation time.
