Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle is reported to be in high spirits and fully focused on the task at hand after receiving all outstanding financial entitlements from the leadership of the National Sports Commission (NSC), BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to a source within the team’s camp in Fez, Morocco, the French tactician has been paid in full, including his salary for January 2026.
The timely settlement is believed to have contributed to a positive atmosphere within the camp as the team continues its campaign.
“Eric Chelle is in a good state of mind financially. All his entitlements have been paid, including his January salary,” the source disclosed.
The coach is said to have earned a total of $60,000 so far, calculated at $20,000 per match for winning all three group games. In addition, he reportedly receives a daily allowance of $400 from the start of the team’s training camp in Egypt.
The source praised the NSC for its handling of financial matters, noting that the prompt payments have helped maintain harmony within the team. “The coaches are happy, the players are not complaining, and the fans are satisfied because the team is performing well and winning. There are no controversial issues at all,” the source added.
The smooth administration off the pitch has been credited with allowing the technical crew and players to remain fully concentrated on their objectives at the tournament.
