Proposed Kickoff Dates For 2023-24 NPL Season Leaked

Exclusive information reached BSNSports.com.ng on the date for the 2023-24 Nigeria Premier League season, with the Interim Management Committee reportedly proposing between the 26th to 27th of August 2023.

The just concluded NPL season was organized in an abridged format of two groups of 10 teams, which lasted six months and produced Enyimba International as the title champions, with the new season expected to revert to status quo and run from August 2023 to May 2024.

According to a renowned Nigerian Sports Journalist Michael Imianvan, popularly known as Mike The Pundit, the IMC proposed the dates in preparation for the new season and balance with international league standards.

His tweet @Mike_ThePundit read: "EXCL: IMC predisposing August 26th/27th as kickoff date for the #NPFL24 season. The league is expected to end in May, 202."
