Pyfer Dominates Adesanya With Second-Round TKO In UFC Seattle

By BSN Sports

Joe Pyfer delivered a statement victory on Saturday night, stopping former two-time UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya via second-round technical knockout in the main event of UFC Seattle.

The bout began competitively, with both fighters exchanging strikes in the opening round. Adesanya relied on his trademark leg kicks to manage distance, while Pyfer countered with sharp combinations. Pyfer closed the round strongly, securing a late takedown that hinted at a shift in momentum.

That momentum carried into the second round, as Joe Pyfer imposed his physicality on the fight. After bringing Adesanya to the canvas, Pyfer advanced his position and unleashed a sustained ground-and-pound attack, mixing punches and elbows.

Unable to effectively defend himself, Adesanya absorbed significant damage, prompting the referee to stop the contest at 4:18 of the second round.

The defeat marks a difficult return for Adesanya, known as “The Last Stylebender,” who was competing for the first time in 13 months and entered the bout on a three-fight skid. Meanwhile, Pyfer, who came into the fight ranked No. 14 in the middleweight division, extends his winning streak and strengthens his case as a rising contender.
