Ahead of the final group game on Friday, Uruguay forward Luis Suarez has refused to apologise to Ghanaians for the incident of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ghana and Uruguay clashed in the quarter-final of the 2010 World Cup but the former Barcelona attacker used his hand to stop a goal-bound move that could have taken Ghana to the semi-final of the competition.

He was sent off and a penalty was awarded but Black Stars forward Asamoah Gyan missed the kick and Uruguay eventually qualified for the semi-final through a penalty shootout.

A press Conference was held on Thursday ahead of the game slated for Friday and Suarez insisted that Ghanaians should blame their player that failed to score

"I can't apologise to Ghana for my handball in 2010 they should blame the penalty taker who failed to score because I received a red card and it was his responsibility to score and qualify for the semi-final", he insisted.
