Riots broke out on Sunday in Brussels capital of Belgium following the Red Devils' loss to the Atlas Lions of Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng report.

Two late goals from Sabiri and Zakaria ensured that the North African country recorded an unexpected 2-0 victory over the European giant.

Football fans across the country felt embarrassed about the outcome of the game and decided to take to the street and vent their anger.

One person sustained a facial injury as steps were set on fire and cars were pelted with stones.

The Mayor of Brussels Philipe Close urged the fans to stay calm as police are trying to be on top of the situation.

Belgium will require an outright victory in the final game of the group against Croatia to secure passage to the round of 16 of the World Cup.
