Qatar 2022 Fallout: CBF Considers Foreign Coach For Selecao

Following the unexpected ouster of the Selecao of Brazil in the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the Confederation of Brazil Federation( CBF) is considering a foreign coach for the team, BSNSports.com.ng understand.

The 5-time World champions are tagged favourites before the start of the competition in Qatar and proved it in their play by winning the first two group games.

They lost the third game to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon but came back strongly in the round and smashed South Korea 4-1.

They crashed out of the competition in the quarter-final on Friday after losing out to Croatia 4-2 via a penalty shoot-out.

The defeat led to the immediate resignation of the team coach Tite as his position came under scrutiny.

According to the Brazil news outlet Globo, the football federation is already thinking of hiring a foreign manager for the Selecao.

Since 2002, Brazil has never gone beyond the quarter-final of the World cup.
