Qatar 2022 Fallout: Crisis Rock Teranga Lions Over Match Bonus

Following the average performance of the Teranga Lions of Senegal in the just concluded 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the crisis continues to brew in the country's sports scenes, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

After reaching the second round of the competition, the African champions suffered a massive 3-0 defeat to the Three Lions of England and crashed out of the tournament.

Since returning to the country, it has been from one crisis to the other.

Earlier in the week, some of the Football Federation officials made the move to terminate the appointment of the team head coach Aliou Cisse citing exhaustion as the reason.

The latest update from the country indicated that athletes from the Sports have risen against the country's president Macky Sall after he announced that he will pay the bonus of the quarter-final to the players despite not reaching the stage.

The athletes tagged the move as pure injustice saying the Teranga Lions players are over-pampered despite failing to achieve the set objective.
