Even though he had a decent outing in the just-concluded 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the head coach of the Teranga Lions of Senegal Aliou Cisse is set to be sacked, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

Cisse who was appointed about 7 years ago was in charge when Senegal won its first African Cup of Nations title this year in Cameroon.

And despite the absence of Sadio Mane, the champions reached the second round of the World Cup before losing to the Three Lions of England.

According to the Senegalese newspaper Les Échos , some of the officials of the Football Federation believed Cisse has reached his limit and can't improve the team again.

Cisse was appointed the team coach in 2015 and was in charge of the team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
