The Ghanaian side was held to a goalless draw by the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi on Friday during the first leg match played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
During the pre-match conference in Abuja, he acknowledged how good the Super Eagles team is but urged his team to up their game in the second leg.
" In the first leg we played very well and we have more possession but we have to improve and stopped them from creating chances and also try to score
He said that his team need just one goal to turn the table against Nigeria's Super Eagles and have the ticket to the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
"To be honest, I don't think we are better than the Nigerians and vice-versa, everybody saw what happened in the first leg, so I can't say that anyone is favourite but what I can say is if we score one goal anything is possible.
"Surely, we want to qualify but I told the players to go out there and have fun, if you make a mistake take it up.
Even though we didn't score everybody saw that we played better than before and we appreciate that.
"But in football sometimes you played good and lose and you played bad and win," he said
