Qatar 2022 Playoff Fallout: Algeria FF President Resigns

Following the ouster of the Desert Foxes of Algeria in the race Qatar 2022 World Cup, President of the Algeria Football Federation Charaf-Eddine Amara has resigned from his position, BSNsports.com.ng understand


Algeria alongside Nigeria's Super Eagles showed promises after the first leg of the playoffs but failed to make it count in the second leg as they crashed out to their respective opponents.


He officially announced his resignation from his post on Thursday afternoon.


He specified that his post will be filled by the first vice-president, Mohamed Maouche, pending the organization of elections in 60 days in accordance with the statutes of the Algerian football federation.
