Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi who is out of action in the Nigeria versus Ghana World Cup Playoff match will be replaced by Innocent Bonke, BSNsports.com.ng can report

Ndidi was substituted in the UEFA Conference League match against French side, Rennes and the manager of Leicester City, Brendan Rodgers, said the Nigeria international may be out of action for few weeks.

" We just have to assess. He picked up an injury that might keep him out for a few weeks, which is a shame. And Marc Albrighton had to come off," he said.

Ndidi was among the players listed by the Nigeria's Super Eagles boss, Austin Eguavoen, for the doubleheader World cup playoff against Black Stars of Ghana.

The report coming from the camp of the team indicated that FC Lorient player Innocent Bonnke has been handed a call up to replace the combative midfielder.

Bonnke who joined Lorient during the winter transfer made his debut for Super Eagles in the group stage of the qualifier against Cape Verde but failed to make the final cut for the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
