Following the unruly behaviour of fans during the second leg of the Qatar 2022, World Cup Playoffs round against the Black Stars of Ghana, the World soccer ruling body ( FIFA) has slammed Nigeria with a heavy fine, BSNsports.com.ng gathered

The match which was played at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja fans witnessed fans encroaching the field after Ghana held Nigeria to a 1-1 draw.

The draw meant the Super Eagles bowed out of the World Cup while Ghana progressed, the outcome came as shock to fans which led to their attitude toward invading the pitch after the game.

According to the update coming from FIFA, Nigeria has been fined about N64 million( $150,000) for the fans rampaging and the first home game of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier will take place behind closed.

It means that the Super Eagles' CAF African Nations Cup qualifier game against Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in June will be played behind closed.
