Following the ouster of the Eagles of Mali in the just concluded playoffs round of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, Mali Football Federation has announced the sacking of Manager Mohamed Magassouba, BSNsports.com.ng gathered.


Mali started the qualifier like an house on fire playing and winning their group stage matches without conceding a goal.


The form of the team dropped during the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon and they crashed out in the round of 16.


Mali suffered a surprise 0-1 home defeat to the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia and has to settle for a goalless draw in Tunis and handover the qualification ticket to the North African country.


The federation on Friday released a statement confirming the sacking of the manager and hopes to secure a new gaffer before the start of the 2023 AFCON qualifier.
