Qatar 2022 World Cup: FIFA Announce Allowances For Match Officials

With 13 days to the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the World Soccer ruling body continues to put finishing touches to its preparations to have a smooth sailing competition, BSNSports.com.ng understands.

The football body on Monday evening announced the allowances for each match official that will officiate in the tournament.

According to the update from Zurich, the centre referee will earn €5000 for each game while the Assistant referee will receive €2,500 for their services.

This will be the first time a female referee will officiate at a major football event.

Yamashita Yoshimi ( Japan), Salima Mukansanga ( Rwanda) and Stephaine Frappart ( France) are the three female referees that will take centre stage in Qatar.

The three females assistant referees are Neuza Back ( Brazil), Karen Diaz Medina ( Mexico) and Kathryn Nesbitt ( USA).
