Qualification For Quarterfinal, My Return Ticket To Colombia - NFF President Tasks Falconets

The President, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau has tasked the Nigeria U20 women's national team, the Falconets, he would return to Colombia the venue of the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup when the Nigerian girls pick the quarterfinal ticket, BSNSports.com.ng report.

Our source said, Gusau made this known while he was with team in Colombia during their pre-tournament warm up match against Mexico charging them that their qualification into the quarterfinal of the tournament serves as his return ticket to the hosting country to further charge them to final.

"There are a lot of improvement in this team, you have all done well, though we lost to Mexico today. I want this to serve as a motivation to go all out against our opponents in the group stage and qualify for the quarterfinal because that is the only thing that can bring me back to Colombia." The source said.

"I want to assure you that, all your entitlement would be paid. All you need is to concentrate on your game and make Nigerians proud."

Falconets are in Group D with Germany, Venezuela and South Korea.

The 2010 and 2014 finalists will face Korea Republic on Monday 2nd before taking on Germany on Wednesday 4th September. The Nigerian national team will trade tackles with Venezuela on Saturday 7th September, 2024 in last group game.
