Rangers Announce Chidiebere Nwobodo As New Captain

Eight-time Nigeria league champions, Rangers International, have announced the appointment of Chidiebere Nwobodo as their new club captain, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former assistant skipper returned to the Enugu-based side after a brief spell in the Rwandan top flight and has been immediately handed the armband.

The significant announcement was made by the club's General Manager and CEO, Amobi Ezeaku, following the team's training session at 'The Cathedral,' Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

Nwobodo will be ably supported by a strong leadership group comprising Austin Opara as assistant captain and Evans Ogbonda as the team's player coordinator.
