Rangers Table Second Offer For Dessers

Rangers remain in talks with Cremonese over the transfer of Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers even after the Gers’ first bid for the Nigerian was turned down.
BSNSports.com.ng sourced from the Daily Record that The Gers are now heavily linked with Dessers and it is suggested that their opening bid for the Nigerian frontman has been snubbed by the relegated Italian Serie A side.
The Ibrox outfit finished the season trophyless and they are in the process of revamping their squad ahead of next season’s campaign.
The Light Blues confirmed last month that five out-of-contract players, including Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent, are set to depart from Ibrox this summer.
And Michael Beale’s side is active in the market to replenish their squad as they are eyeing winning silverware next term.
However, it is claimed in Scotland that the Glasgow giants remain in talks with the Italian side for a potential transfer for the Belgium-born Nigerian forward.
Dessers, 28, joined now-relegated Cremonese from Genk in 2022 and bagged seven goals and two assists in his 29 appearances in all competitions for the Italian outfit this term.
Rangers have already sealed deals for Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling and they are still working on moves for several players, including Jack Butland and Jose Cifuentes.
It remains to be seen now whether the Gers can strike a deal for Dessers or turn their attention elsewhere in their bid to bolster their attacking options.
