Rangers Throw Weight Behind Tijani Babangida

The management of Rangers International has commiserated with the immediate and extended family of former Super Eagles winger, Tijani Babangida, on the death of his son, Fadil, and younger brother, Ibrahim Babangida who lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident on the Kaduna– Zaria highway, early this month, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Tijani Babangida, who is out of hospital and recovering from injuries after the ghastly auto-crash that claimed the lives of his son and brother, still has his wife in the intensive care unit of a medical facility in Zaria.

Rangers’ G.M/CEO, Amobi Ezeaku, who spoke with the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Gold medalist, Monday, May 20, 2024, assured the speed star of the club’s support at this moment of grief stressing that the club was highly disturbed by the events that led to the loss of his two family members.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant Tijani and his wife a quick recovery while granting the soul of his son and brother, eternal rest.

"Mr President, Tijani Babangida, this is to assure you of the total support of the staff, players, coaches, and management of Rangers International F.C. for you and your family members at this auspicious moment of grief. 

"We are here for you both in prayers and every other need as you navigate out of this difficult moment of the loss of two family members in an auto-crash just as we also thank God for sparring your life and that of your wife. We wish you a speedy recovery from the bodily injuries and pray that almighty Allah grants the departed souls eternal rest."
