Rangers International F.C has unveiled Rangers Wall of Fame for the 2015/2016 Nigeria Premier Football League winners, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The move is part of the innovative changes that have taken place at the Enugu-based side under the new management led by Amobi Ezeaku.
Major League Soccer club, F.C Cincinnati’s midfield maestro and 2015/2016 NPFL winner with the club, Obinna Nwobodo, who has his face well adorned in the Rangers Wall of Fame thanked the club’s management for considering him for such recognition and honour.
He charged players, coaches, staff, and top management staff to always be at their best in order to take the club to the level befitting it in the committee of top football playing clubs around the world.
He said: “I just came to say a big thank you to all members of staff of the club for the wonderful innovations that are taking place here which would make me proudly tell whoever cares that I passed through this great club. With information available through the club’s various social media handles, and the massive renovation work of the corporate office, who would not be proud to be a Rangers player?Â
"I was here last year for my marriage and did not have much time to be with you, but this time, I am here for you to celebrate Christmas in my own little way. Sincerely, I am proud of been part of this great club, Rangers International F.C."
G.M/CEO of Rangers, while welcoming the former FC Inter, Enugu, star to his office, praised the meteoric rise of the footballer and charged him to put more effort towards becoming a more celebrated footballer with the qualities he is endowed.
“I have to thank you for coming on this visit. It shows that you remember your humble beginning and it is our wish that you continue to grow higher in this game.â€
Nwobodo was visiting after his NPFL trophy-winning teammate, Chisom Egbuchulam who now plies his trade with Chinese Super League club side, Sichuan Jiuniu F.C, had late last week also paid a visit to the renovated corporate office where he also praised the efforts of the current management in taking the club to a higher level.
