Ahead of the second International friendly against Ecuador, Super Eagles assistant coach, George Finidi, has said the rebuilding process for the team to redeem its past glory has commenced, BSNsports.com.ng understand


Enyimba International coach was appointed alongside Portuguese gaffer Jose Peseiro to take charge of the team after the contract termination of Gernot Rohr.


Super Eagles are currently in New Jersey getting ready for their second international friendly match against Ecuador after losing their first game to Mexico.


" We had a couple of training sessions while in Dallas and here. The rebuilding process has started and we want to see how far we can push the players.


He ( Peseiro) has been doing well he has just spent a week with the players, and he's been giving them information and by the time we get to the qualification the players themselves will know what is expected of them and give their best for Nigeria.


A draw will not be a bad result but if we win we will take it," he said.


Nigeria will face Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in the opening group game of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier.
