Remo Stars, Bayelsa Queens Pick Wins As 2024 Sheroes Cup Kicks Off In Abuja

The 7th Edition of the sheroes Cup began with glitz and glamour on the 18th of November 2024 with Remo Stars Ladies recording a slim one nil victory over Ekiti while Naija Ratels were condemned to their first defeat of the competition by Bayelsa United following a 2-1 loss. 

The only goal of the opener between Remo Stars Ladies and Ekiti Queens was scored in the 54th minute by Cynthia Mega

In the second match, Bayelsa raced to a two goal lead courtesy of quick goals in two minutes by Loveth Edeh and Precious Oscar. Sofiat Bankole got the consolation goal for Ratels from a well taken free kick.

Also in attendance was The President of Ratel Sports Development Foundation and FA Chairman of the Benue FA Barrister Paul Edeh, Former Chairman of the Nigeria National League and The Vice Chairman of Ratel Sports Development Foundation Emmanuel Adesanya, The FA Chairman of kogi Mallam Hassan Wada, FCT Secretary and Chairman Local Organizing Committee Coach Haruna Illerika.

Matchday 2 continues as Heartland Queens face Dannas at 9am while Honey Badgers entertain Abia Angels at 11am.

Naija Ratels will hope to bounce back from their 1-2 loss to Bayelsa Queens when they face Nazareth at 1:00pm while Nasarawa Amazons face Remo Stars Ladies at 3pm. All matches good at FIFA Goal Project, Abuja.
