Both finalists have met in the competition where the newly promoted Nigeria Premier League side, Sporting Lagos defeated Remo Stars in the encounter.
The teams booked their spots in the final following identical 2-1 victories in their respective semi-finals at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos, on Friday.
In the early kick-off, Remo Stars had to dig deep against the late rally of Lobi Stars to qualify.
Remo took the lead in the 22nd minute after Dela Akorli jabbed the ball home from a lob pass by Isaac James.
The Ikenne-based club doubled the lead two minutes into the second half as Nduka Junior rose highest to nod the delivery from a Sodiq Ismail free-kick into the net.
Lobi were, however, awarded a penalty which Joseph Atule converted to make it 2-1 in the 61st minute as Remo held on for a vital victory.

Christian Nwoke, the Sporting goalkeeper, was adjudged to have bundled a United player down in his goal area.
While Cyril Olisema made no mistake from the spot of the resultant penalty, the Lagos team struck back with the crowd’s support in their sail.
Saturday Okon was unmarked in the box when a cross from Jonathan Alukwu found him, and he finished expertly.
In the 69th minute, Alukwu scored the winning goal from a smashing header off a cross from Emeka Nwokeji.
The final is scheduled for Sunday. The winners will go home with N25 million while the runner-up will get N9 million.
