Remo Stars Confirm Relegation, Shift Focus To NNL

Former Nigeria Premier Football League champions Remo Stars have confirmed their relegation to the lower division, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Sky Blue Stars were relegated on Sunday after playing out a draw against Bendel Insurance in their final league fixture.

Following the outcome, the management of Remo Stars on Monday officially acknowledged the club’s drop from the top flight and stated that attention has now shifted to participation in the Nigeria National League (NNL).

The club, which previously enjoyed success in the NPFL, endured a difficult campaign that eventually resulted in relegation despite their efforts to avoid the drop on the final day of the season.

Management is now expected to begin plans toward rebuilding the squad ahead of life in the NNL as they target an immediate return to the elite division.
