Remo Stars's Sodiq Ismail has expressed joy following his first Super Eagles call-up after an impressive season in the Nigeria Premier Football League, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The dependable right-back has provided 12 assists in 30 matches this season as per Transfer Market.

"I'm thrilled to receive my first national team call-up! I'm eager to give my all and make a strong contribution. 

"I am most grateful and thanks to the the NFF and the coaching crew of the Super Eagles for the opportunity."

Sodiq is available for selection tomorrow in the game between Kwara United and Remo Stars before joining the national team camp. 

Nigeria confronts South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Friday, 7th June starting from pm8pm, and then fly to Abidjan to tackle Benin Republic at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny on Monday, 10th June starting from 4 pm CIV time (5 pm Nigeria time).
