Rivers United Linked Joseph Atule Joins Katsina Utd For NNL Super 8 Playoff

Joseph Atule has left Lobi Stars to join Nigeria National League promotion seekers Katsina United, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

Atule who last week was linked with a move to Rivers United has shown why he's one of the most sought-after players in the Nigerian Premier League at the moment. 

Recall he scored a classic goal to save the blushes of Lobi Stars in the Naija Super 8 playoffs against City FC in Eket.

The former Lobi Stars playmaker and goal Machine who made ten goals (10) contributions in the just concluded NPL season is set to sign a 2-year contract with the Chanji Boys.

However, an update by Osogbo-based Freelance Sports Journalist Olaiya Azeez Lawal indicates Atule's transfer to the Chanji Boys is short-term.

"A reliable source has revealed that it is a short contract for the duration of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 playoff that's scheduled at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba from July 1st to 7th. 

"Sunshine Stars Samson Olasupo is also with Katsina United on a short-term deal, as Katsina United is doing everything to return to the Nigeria Premier Football League."
