Rivers United have completed the signing of midfielder Chinemerem Collins Ugwueze from Plateau United ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 25-year-old who has represented Super Eagles at the Unity Cup London has becomes one of the Pride of Rivers' key additions as the club intensifies preparations for the new campaign.

Ugwueze's arrival is expected to add energy, quality and depth to the Rivers United midfield as the Port Harcourt-based side gears up for a return to the CAF inter-club competitions.
