Rivers United Strengthen Squad With Signing Of Bayelsa United Goalkeeper

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Rivers United have completed the signing of goalkeeper Clinton Andy Ezekiel from Bayelsa United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ezekiel, who emerged as one of Bayelsa United's standout performers during the 2025/26 NPFL season, has joined Rivers United on a one-year contract ahead of the new campaign.

The highly-rated shot-stopper impressed with a series of commanding displays between the sticks, attracting interest from several clubs before Rivers United secured his signature.

His arrival is expected to strengthen Rivers United's goalkeeping department as the Port Harcourt-based club prepares for the 2026/27 NPFL season and targets success in domestic competitions.

The club is expected to continue its recruitment drive as preparations intensify for the new league campaign.
