Nigeria Professional Football League defending champions, Rivers United are topping the Super 6 group table following a 1-0 victory over Sunshine Stars, BSNSports.com.ng can report

Former champions, Enyimba had in the first match held to a 2-2 draw by Remo Stars in the play-off opener. Remo Stars came back into the game twice to pick a valuable draw.

In the second game, Rivers United left back calmly converted a penalty in the 60th minute to help his club claimed the top spot.

It was a goalless draw in the last game as Bendel Insurance continue unbeaten runs with a 0-0 draw with Lobi Stars. Rivers United are topping with three points while Lobi Stars, Enyimba International Bendel Insurance and Remo Stars have one point each. Sunshine Stars are are placed 6th with zero points 

.on Match-day 2 on Monday, 5th June, Lobi Stars will trade tackles with Enyimba International at 2pm, Rivers United will lock horns with Remo Stars at 4:30pm while Bendel Insurance will look forward to holding up their unbeaten runs against Sunshine Stars at 6:30pm.
