Road To 2027 CAF AFCON Begins As WAFU B Holds U-20 Qualifiers Draw Wednesday

The draw for the WAFU B qualifiers for the 2027 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations will take place on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, as the region's seven member associations learn their routes to the continental tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The ceremony will be held at the headquarters of the West African Football Union (WAFU B) in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, officially launching the qualification campaign for the prestigious youth competition.

All seven WAFU B member nations will be drawn into their respective qualifying fixtures, with teams vying for places at the 2027 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, which Ghana is set to host. The seven countries are; Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Niger Republic, Benin Republic, Cote D'ivoire and Burkina Faso.

The regional qualifiers are expected to feature some of West Africa's most promising young footballers as they compete for qualification to the continental finals.
