Rohr: It's Frustrating NFF Didn't Allow Me Qualify Nigeria For Qatar 2022 World Cup

Rohr:

Former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has admitted regrets about not being allowed to qualify Nigeria for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

Despite taking the team through the group stage of the qualifiers, Rorh a Franco-German was axed from his job solely because of poor performances.

Head of the Technical Department of the Nigeria Football Federation, Austin Eguavoen was saddled with the responsibility of leading the Super Eagles in the playoffs, at the end lost to Ghana Black Stars.

Rohr who spoke to one of Nigeria's sports journalist Edafe on ElegbeteTV talked about his frustrations and how NFF have to pay him his owed salaries.

"The only thing I can get is my salary, you know when you have a contract to the end of the year and you break the contract you have to continue to pay until the end of the year.

"Missing my salary is not difficult for me but missing the World Cup in Qatar, is the most difficult thing for me and I have big frustrations about it.

" As for me, only, they ( NFF) have to pay me and If they don't pay, FIFA will take the money meant for football development but I regret it because I wish NFF could develop football in every single championship and youth competition.

" I have told them what they have to do but now the money will be given to me, it's pity but is my salary.

"They have been paying me in Naira and I paid taxes but now that I have left Nigeria, they must now pay me in Dollars.

"I regret it because it is the most stupid decision to pay somebody who is not working for you and it's really sad for the people who are responsible for the decisions," he told ElegbeteTV.
