Ahead of the commencement of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, the Malian Football Association has trimmed down the list of coaches for the Eagles, BSNsports.com.ng can report
Despite having decent performance in the group stage of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier, the team crashed out in the playoff after losing to Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.
The team also lost out in the second round of the 2021 African Cup of Nations which led to the sacking of the entire technical crew.
Coaches across the World applied to take up the appointment and the football body trimmed them down to 5 earlier in April.
After the final round of interviews and meeting on Tuesday, the coaches were reduced to 3 which include former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr.
The Franco-german who was relieved of his appointment in late 2021 was listed alongside Eric Roy ( France) and local coach Eric Sekou Chelle.
The federation is set to announce the manager when the arrangement is settled.
