Following their narrow 1-0 victory over the Amavubi of Rwanda, Cheetahs of Benin head coach Gernot Rohr has cautioned his players to remain focused ahead of their decisive clash against Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The hard-fought win in Kigali lifted Benin to the top of the qualifying group, setting up a crucial final showdown with the Super Eagles in Uyo.
Speaking during the post-match conference, Rohr urged his players to stay disciplined and avoid complacency.
“Stay united, don’t get carried away. Go to bed early, rest, and recover,” Rohr told his players.
“The final match is in Uyo in three days.”
With both teams eyeing a ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the encounter in Uyo promises to be a high-stakes battle that could determine who secures qualification.
