Rwanda FA Elects New President With Pinnick As FIFA Observer

Former Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Melvin Pinnick was among the observers as Rwanda Football Federation elected Alphonse Munyantwali as President, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Munyantwali was voted to lead the federation for two years during an Extraordinary General Assembly held this weekend at the Lemigo Hotel in Kigali.

The election came two months after Olivier Mugabo Nizeyimana stepped down citing personal reasons. Munyantwali, who was unopposed garnered 50 votes out of a possible 56 from delegates in the Assembly.

Pinnick who is now a FIFA Council Member served as an observer alongside, a CAF Executive member who is also President of the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) Eng. Moses Magogo.
