Rwanda To Appoint New Head Coach Ahead Of 2026 World Cup Qualifier Against Nigeria

Ahead of the critical 2026 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria, the Rwanda Football Federation is set to announce a new head coach for the Amavubi next week, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Rwanda will face Nigeria's Super Eagles in the upcoming round of qualifiers.

The team has been without a coach since Thorsten Spittler’s departure.

On Thursday morning, the football federation confirmed that the new coach will be revealed next week and is expected to begin preparations for the Nigeria match immediately.

The match is scheduled for March 21st at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
