Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu was on the scoresheet again as Trabzonspor were held to a 1-1 draw by Samsunspor in their Turkish Süper Lig clash on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Super Eagles forward continued his fine start to the season by giving the home fans something to cheer about when he struck for Trabzonspor. However, Samsunspor refused to roll over, with Romanian forward Marius restoring parity for the visitors.

Both sides battled intensely in midfield, creating several chances, but neither could find a breakthrough in the closing stages as the game ended in a stalemate.

For Onuachu, it was his second league goal of the campaign, underlining his growing importance in the Trabzonspor attack since rejoining the club.

The draw means Trabzonspor drop points at home but remain within touching distance of the early-season leaders, while Samsunspor will be delighted to leave with a valuable point on the road.
