Injured Nigeria's Super Eagles and Real Sociedad striker Sadiq Umar has thanked fans for their support and words of encouragement they are given him, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Former AS Roma attacker sustained an injury during a La Liga game against Getafe and was ruled out of the season.

Sadiq took to his Instagram handle on Sunday afternoon to appreciate the fans and hope to be back stronger.

"Blessing and an opportunity, and I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for the love and care you have shown me, for me it is just time to rest a bit and come back stronger. The best is yet to come.”Sadiq wrote on Instagram.

Sadiq scored on his debut for Real Sociedad against Atletico Madrid.
