Saintfeit Hails Gambia Says African Representatives Will Perform At World Cup

Sampson Adedeji

Gambia national team coach, Tom Saintfeit, has hailed the performance of the Gambian U20 team who have reached the final of the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Egypt, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The Scorpions defeated Nigeria's Flying Eagles by a lone goal in the semi-final of the tournament.

Apart from hailing the Gambian team, he is confident that Nigeria, Senegal and Tunisia will perform well in Indonesia.

"If Gambia did it in Africa by reaching the final, they can also do it at the World Cup. The Gambian team is strong, but we also have to wait for the group-stage draw.

"I think the African teams can have a good World Cup, but it also depends on the group in which he finds himself from the start", he said.
