Samad Kadri has made his second coming to Kwara United ahead of the commencement of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

The player completed his medical in Ilorin on Thursday, as well as other registration requirements for the league, and is expected to join the club immediately.

Samad, who was pivotal to the team's campaign last season left for Al-Ahed Football Club of Beruit, Lebanon, from where he decided to come back to Kwara United.

This is coming on the heels of the imminent transfer of the team's striker, Wasiu Jimoh, to Zesco United FC, Zambia. Samad left for Al-Ahed with three matches to the end of the 2021/2022 season, where he also distinguished himself in front of the goal.

The striker will resume fully with the club after the two weeks break being observed by the Premier League Clubs.

Reacting to the development, the Club Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye said that the team re-absorbed the striker because of his quality, capacity and capabilities, which he has continued to display.

Samad was Kwara United Football Club's highest goal scorer last season, especially scoring crucial goals in crucial moments for Kwara United.

Kumbi said that his return is equally timely, especially against the backdrop of the departure of Wasiu Jimoh, who made a ha huge impact for Kwara United in the CAF Confederation Cup competition, scoring four goals in four matches.
