Samuel Chukwueze on Thursday reached a record-setting milestone for his club Villarreal with his appearance in the game against Espanyol at the Estadi de la Ceràmica.

Villarreal were runaway winners of the encounter following a 4-2 win in front of home fans to maintain European spots on the Spanish La Liga standings with Chukwueze playing all 90+ minutes.

The game poses as the 23-year-old's 200th appearance for the Yellow Submarines since making his senior team debut in the 2018 Europa League Group game 1 against Rangers, which ended 2-2.
